Juliaan Severin (1888 - 1975) / Ernest Sermon

Juliaan Severin made a lot ofdrawings, etchings and crayons
but quality differs from time to time. In this work he is very
convincing to my believe.

Probably because of the fainted second part in the
signature we were able to buy this relatively cheap.

Two nice close-ups.....

 And the second one. Observe what he did
with the light in this part. With a few means.

Ernest Sermon

Something comical occurs in this watercolour by
this Brussels based artist. It has everything to do with
the red shirt in the middle that immediately draws
our attention. Typical view for this region and
Belgium in general. Work on paper. Dimensions;
40 / 50 cm. Signed lower left.
