Hans Vanhorck / Solange (?) Houyvet

This worldwide appreciated artist made more

conventional work in the eighties. This watercolour is an

example of it. Work on Paper. Dimensions 40 / 50 cm.

A bigger watercolour in his later abstract style. In fact vanHorck

builts up his colours as well as he does in his oil paintings but the

effect in watercolors is astonishing. It gives this work a lot of depth.

On the back the title and year of production has 

been written. He allways signs with "vanhorck".

Solange (?) Houyvet

A difficult to read signature at first but the quality simply

was there: a nice sky and skyline but the boats in the fore-

ground make a nice contrast with the rest of the picture.

Having observed the encadrement we think it to be quite 

a bit older so Solange Houyvet could be a possibility.
