André Z Naessens / Jules Noël

This work bears the title "Portraits of Life'. In fact this
was one of the studies Andre Naessens made befor
finishing the final work he had in mind.

Jules Noël (1815 - 1881)

A genuine watercolor by this remarkable artist.
A city new, probably somewhere in Normandy
(France) Dimensions: 20 / 30 cm.

His signature which is spot on and of course
the double points are there on the prefix "E".

On the right, a little bit out of the middle a tear
in the paper can be distinguished but to that
disturbing to our opinion.

The encadrement is from a later date.

Close observation tells us that the figures are painted
in a quite simple way but as a whole it works well.

The artist must have had a steady hand as watercoloring
a tower this way requires a lot of skills.

And yet another detail.
