Bertrand Edouard de Champeaux
This watercolour is unmistakable from the hand of
Bertrand Edouard de Champeaux who made this work
as a souvenir for his sister as the text on the back states.
Some reflections in the picture due to the glass plate.
Work on paper. Dimensions: 16 / 20 cm.
Unmistakable the original signature and the place pictured
is mentioned as well: St. Jean Cap Ferret which is situated
in the south of France.
Pierre Chariot ( 1929 - )
A rather big watercolor by this Belgium based artist that entirely
devoted his talents to this technique. His skies are always "moving'
in different shades of light in which he excells. With little
(if any) objects he creates a dreamy atmosphere.
Work on paper. Dimensions: 50 / 57 cm.
The title of this work is "Lueurs du Ciel" and one has to see
it in reality to be really catches by this phenomenon.
His signature in which one expects a prefix "F" but
in fact it is of course a "P".
On the back this watercolor has been named and dated.
At that time Pierre Chariot was living in Vilvoorde.
