Permeke
No, in fact we do not believe this to be a Permeke but
the style is so close and we just don't know the real artist.
We were striked by the forceful interpretation of this
flemish landscape the way Paul Permeke exposed a
lot though most of the time in oil. The "cold" colors
really do suggest it is winter in a nearly "wild" but
honest way. Expressionism at its best? Work on
paper. Dimensions: 39 / 53 cm
There is a signature however and most likely made in
1968 but what does it say?? Constant Permeke already
