Rik Blomme.
A strange kind of minimal art this work could be called but
the refinement and craftsmanship in the mouth was a teaser!
The week before we visited an auction some works of
Hans Henri Pfeiffer popped up. Studying his works was
quite remarkable. Though we do not assume that Rik Blomme
knew the work of Pfeiffer, the resemblances are remarkable.
We were aware this was not a Pfeiffer work but we thought it
to be unsigned. However just above the lower passe partout
border we discovered the signature of R. Blomme
We strengthened the colors in this picture in order to make
the signature more visible: R Blomme that proves to be
Rik Blomme after some investigations. Work on paper.
Dimensions: 30 / 50 cm.
