Michel Godjevac (1939) / Paul Gomze (1870 - 1949)

This work is probably a litho coloured in with watercolour paint.
Nevertheless, a happy and lively work from this Frenchman who
was born in 1939. His father, with the same name, was a painter
as well and originally came from Hungarya. Work on paper.

This is the signature on our work but a better one can
be studied here beyond! But first a quite similar work.

Again a lot of persons in this picture but with a happy flow.

More readable is the signature here and a stamp as well.

Paul Gomze (1870 - 1949)

This watercolor we acquired for very little. Sometimes
it is a mystery for us how it can be possible that other
people are simply not interested as it is quality to
our believe. This artist hasn't been mentioned in the
registered works of Paul Piron but auction results in
the past are proving he should have been.
Work on paper. Dimensions: 33 / 43 cm.

At first we saw an "R"  as the first prefix. By a better observation
it appears that we should have read a "P" what makes it complete:
Paul Gomze, in fact a member from a whole family of artists.

We found this one on the internet. Auctioned at
auction house Horta in Brussels but not sold.
Estimated between 350 and 500 Euro.
