Franciney (Francois Neyman) / Henry Branston Freer / Paula French

An oil on canvas by this Oostende born Belgium artist.
It has been said to be Bruges (Belgium) but then in a
fantastic setting. There must be a story behind it and a
certain surrealistic approach was also quite common in
the works of this artist. Dimensions: 60 / 80 cm.

The central woman figure in this painting.

Someone who is throwing golden coins over her?

Bruges has some very nice views to offer. Therefore
many tourists a year are visiting this Belgian town.

In fact his real name is Francois Neyman but he signed
his works with "Franciney". Besides making artworks
Neyman did a lot of advertisement works and made
sceneries for theatres and for the belgium TV.

Henry Branston Freer ( Active: 1870 - 1900 )

A rather interesting watercolor as the Tower has been
depicted but before the Tower Bridge was finished and
even before the former bridge was taken down.

In fact the Thames only is showing steam boats.
And to talk about pollution: The "industry" on the
waterside isn't that clean also...

Paula French (1929 - 2011)

A rather big watercolor named after the famous "French"
watercolorists family. In fact, her real name was Lis Bjergsted,
born in Denmark. She was fascinated by the City atmosphere,
architecture  and made cityscapes the subject of her work.
Her cityscapes convey the weather's elements, city
atmosphere  and architecture in a soft realistic style.
Here she offers us a view from the Thames towards the
Temple Gardens. Work on paper. Dimensions: 35 / 54 cm.

The seagulls, though not exactly depicted, really have
the suggestion to fly there….

Presented here is a signature and a detailed piece
of this nice watercolour.
