Jo DeBlieck / Eugene Francois de Block

Jo Deblieck  (1942 -

In fact in the first place a sculptor but besides that a gifted
painter as well. Fulfilled his studies in Florenc. He has been
mentioned in the Paul Piron as a painter who was close
associated with lyrical abstraction. He was a professor
at St' Lucas in Brussels and was later a teacher at the
Highschool in Anderlecht (near Brussels)
Work on Paper. Dimensions: 53 / 70 cm.

And his signature of course is presented here as it
is obvious at the moment you are aware what to read
but before that…..  made in 1987. We're going to
give it a try to get in touch with him! My wife loves it!

Eugene Francois de Block (1812 - 1893)

There seems to be an "Escalier"  in Rochefort which was
the inspiration for this artist to make this watercolor. Though
it is a nice watercolor it doesn't has the top qualities that might
be expected from this artist to our believe. Work on paper.
Dimensions: 28 / 45 cm.

This artist made several important works in his life. That's why we
think this to be a little more mediocre. The signature however is
spot on and a similar signature  can even be found on Wikipedia.
